Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, in a statement to the media, spoke about the demands of Albanian students for the jurisprudence exam to be in the Albanian language.

Mickovski emphasized that the law on languages in this case is clear and according to him, if the request is for the exam to be in Albanian as well, it should be allowed as such.

"The law on languages is clear in this case. If someone requests to take the exam in Albanian, they should be allowed to do so," Mickoski declared.

Law students submitted a petition to the Ministry of Justice, the Inspectorate for the Use of Languages, the Agency for the Implementation of Languages, the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia, and the Government of the Republic of Macedonia, requesting that the jurisprudence exam be held in Albanian.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice says that the Law on the Bar Exam does not provide for taking the exam in a language other than Macedonian. There was also mutual criticism between the Albanian government and the opposition.
