An Albanian lawyer who has lived in Italy for 30 years has spoken about the phenomenon of emigration and the high number of Albanians seeking to leave the country.
He said that, during his work as a lawyer, he has noticed that many Albanians knock on the doors of law firms to obtain residence documents abroad.
According to him, it is not surprising that many young people are looking for a future outside Albania, as they do not find development opportunities in the country. He added that, in his opinion, this shows a crisis of hope among citizens, accusing the country's leaders for the situation created.
"I have been living in Italy for 30 years. I am a lawyer and I have noticed the phenomenon, many Albanians knock on the doors of our studios who want to be provided with documents. We are not surprised by the fact that many young people are looking for hope, work because they do not find space here. We have had requests from those middle-class Albanians, who have income, have businesses and we have asked them; why are you coming to emigrate? They all said; for the future of our children. This means that these people here, who have occupied this building here, have taken away hope. And we have genocide from these occupiers here," he said.
