Opportunity Party MP Erald Kapri has stated that all of the Rama government's concessions are unsuccessful.

Invited to "This Week" with Nisida Tufa on News24, he has also criticized the model of granting concessions, arguing that the lack of transparency and free competition is damaging standards and distancing the country from European Union practices.

Kapri also stressed the strategic importance of ports, in relation to the law approved yesterday in the Assembly. He said that ports should be one of the main economic assets of the country, taking as an example countries like the Netherlands, which has built its economic power on port infrastructure.

"400 million euros were spent on incinerators. What about the roads, Thumanë-Kashar for example, the highest toll in Europe paid on these roads. Where are the citizens benefiting? We do not have a successful concession. Life has become more difficult for citizens, it has become more expensive.
Let's say Elon Musk wants to invest in Albania. Of course, the government can approve something to approve facilities to bring him like this. But approving something in advance and saying that I will approve everything without knowing when it is from behind...

The initiative distances Albania from EU standards. Free competition is violated, we lack transparency and what I think is very important is that it is no coincidence that countries that have large ports are among the most powerful in the world economically. The Netherlands is a small country, but its economic potential lies in its ports. Ports should have been Albania's blessing, there have also been some geostrategic developments related to Corridor VIII. NATO assessed Corridor VIII two months ago as an important military and strategic element. The West will invest a lot in this trade channel. This is extraordinary. What do we do to benefit? We do the opposite. You are giving us a gift from the West, you have no idea of the economic loss we will suffer. Let's close the ports and build palaces for Rama's people so that they can earn money faster. This is very serious, not even the invaders did this to us", he said.
