The Democratic Party is paying tribute today to the hero of democracy Azem Hajdari and the December Movement. Azem Hajdari's son said that his father made important decisions at a very young age.

According to him, Azem sought to kidnap the future while also recounting details from the life and personal history of his father, who after falling in love with his wife, was forced to kidnap her in order to fulfill a life as he wanted, not as the communist regime of that time imposed on him. He further recalled the opposition that Azem had faced from his family, when his parents sought a safer life for him, away from the December riots that later marked history.

"I am pleased to be here today, on a day when all Albanians should be presidents. I think that thanks to this heroism that these people made, Albanians should know that thanks to that sacrifice, today Albanians are experiencing democracy. When my country father became president of the Student Movement, he had just become a father. When my father came early to study in Tirana, he wanted to take everything. He fell in love with my mother, he was forced to take her, despite their love. The system did not allow this. After his return to Tropoja, he set off again towards Tirana. My grandfather, may God have mercy on him, since it was a consequence of time and generations of time, thought it impossible for his own son to come to Tirana. He told him; leave these dreams, because it is impossible for you to do this. He laughed and mocked ironically. But no, Azem did not think about today, but thought more long-term, about himself and his friends mi. He had no concept of fear, nor death nor defeat, but he could lose his freedom. In Tirana he met his friends, and we decided to go out in front of the bullets and tanks. On the day when the students were a little confused, they did not know if they would support him. He stood above his friends and said; I come out as a guarantor with my children, Kirin and Rudina. If I betray you, you have my children," said the son of the historical leader, Azem Hajdari.
