The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has issued harsh accusations from the parliament's rostrum, attacking the government and describing former Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku as "the biggest thief in chief after Edi Rama." Berisha also touched on the issue of the IBAR report, claiming that it has not been made transparent to the public and that citizens have not been informed about its content.
He accused the government of being involved in “fraud” and describing the situation as being controlled by dark interests. At one point in the parliamentary debate, Berisha mocked former Foreign Minister Elisa Spiropali.
"Balluku, the biggest thief after Edi Rama. And here it turned out that the IBAR report was not approved. You create the agenda according to your own whim. Why are you erasing the report from the citizens? You have filled it from top to bottom with deception. You ask to talk about a report that the citizens do not know. How can you accept it, Mr. Mayor, and the citizens do not know what was said? What are you? A pawn of the mafia? She calls him a tall peacock, and he does nothing but defends him. You call him Skanderbeg, he throws you away (addressing Spiropali)", he said.
