Independent MP Marjana Koçeku, who was previously part of the socialist camp, has shared details from the first plenary session of the Parliament, also talking about the relations with her former colleagues in the Socialist Party. Invited to the show "Minuta e Parë" on News24 with Ola Bruko, Koçeku was asked if she had any contact with Prime Minister Edi Rama or other SP figures after her separation from this political camp. Koçeku said that the first plenary session was formal and short, while outside the Parliament there was a protest by "flamingo" activists.

Speaking about her position in the Assembly, Koçeku also focused on the territorial reform, emphasizing that she was part of the relevant committee and that since the first session she has requested more attention for municipalities and small units. According to her, citizens should be at the center of every reform, while she raised questions about the effect that changes have if they do not serve the communities. Asked specifically about contacts with former socialist colleagues, Koçeku said that she has not had any communications with any of the SP figures.

"When I entered parliament, the first session was formal. Where was the speaker of the Assembly informed about what awaits us this session. The session was short. Outside the session, there was an active protest by the flamenco protesters, and that's how that activity ended. I am more comfortable than before. I was part of the territorial reform committee. Since the first session, I have emphasized increased attention to municipalities and small units. There should have been more consultations and transparency for communities. If those reforms do not serve the communities, then what do they serve?! Citizens are not known to be represented. I have not had any communication with any figure from the Socialist Party.", she said.
