World-renowned singer Madonna has spoken openly about the impact her intense career has had on her physical health, revealing that she suffers from serious knee injuries. In an interview with Interview magazine, Madonna said that years of high-heeled dancing, intense physical activity and constant training have led to severe cartilage damage in one knee. “I have a knee problem now. I have no cartilage at all,” she said, adding that her routine also included strenuous activities such as running on asphalt and intense forms of yoga.
The artist revealed that until recently she had a very busy training regimen, including trampoline jumping and high-intensity cardio exercises, but has now been forced to reduce them due to her condition. Despite her health problems, she stressed that she has not withdrawn from physical activity, continuing with more controlled exercises such as cycling and moderate exercise.
Knee problems have accompanied her on recent tours, where she has appeared with special supports, while on the "Madame X Tour" she was previously forced to cancel several concerts due to severe pain.
In the same interview, Madonna also spoke about the difficulties in making her biopic, revealing that the project with Universal Pictures was shelved due to budget disputes. She said she had been working on the script for two years, but the studio failed to support the project in its proposed format. Later, according to her, a proposed series version by Netflix also encountered legal obstacles to using the written material.
Despite these difficulties, the singer emphasized that she continues to be active in music and is currently promoting new projects, including an album and a short film that serves as a precursor to her future artistic material.
