The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, denounced what he called the government's "mafia-like silence", following the rejection in Brussels of the interim report that would open the group chapters of Albania's EU integration process.
Berisha said that this EU move comes after Rama's defense of his credentials obtained from the stolen elections, the Balluku case, and then his stance on the AKSHI scandal.
"There is only one solution. Uniting in the square with determination is the main path. Hundreds of Albanians have thousands of reasons to protest. Albanians will pay 1 billion euros for Porto Romano," said Berisha.
Sali Berisha: Never expect Edi Rama to leave the international community. The EU and several member states clearly showed that with Edi Rama on the path to integration there are insurmountable obstacles. A report that should have been approved in March, again "remained in the classroom" yesterday and when it will pass no one knows. Although a mafia silence is maintained by the government, our friends inform us that the demands on the government are increasing 2-3 times after the Balluku case and the AKSHI case or Edi Rama's Lindas. There is only one solution. Uniting in the square with determination is the main way. Hundreds of Albanians have thousands of reasons to protest. Albanians will pay 1 billion euros for Porto Romano.
With 1 billion euros, we would double citizens' pensions.
