Residents of Maliq protested for the second time this Thursday against the new territorial reform and the proposal to merge their Municipality with the Municipality of Korça.
Residents from various villages in the Maliq Municipality have gathered to oppose this change, demanding that Maliq continue to function as a separate municipality.
The protesters say they do not want Maliqi to merge with Korça, as, according to them, Korça has failed to provide services and they do not want to cover its problems.
Protesters have also raised concerns about the country's economic and social situation, emphasizing that Albania has become impoverished and that such a union, according to them, will not bring improvement for the residents of Maliq.
This is the second protest held in Maliq against the proposal for territorial unification with Korça, while residents warn that the protests will continue.
