John Stones, one of Pep Guardiola's protégés and one of England's most important players in the last decade, is set to end his spell at Man.City. Despite being one of the most iconic players of the golden era, the defender is set to leave the club at the end of this season as the club's management have no intention of offering him a new contract, with his current deal set to expire at the end of this season.

Stones's release on the market as a free agent has sparked interest from many major European clubs, most notably Bayern Munich. The German club sees Stones as an ideal reinforcement, a player with a lot of experience, and for free. There is also interest in Stones from teams such as Atletico Madrid and Milan, but Bayern have two important tools to convince the Englishman, Vincent Kompany and Harry Kane.

With Kompany, Stones once formed the Man.City defensive duo, while with Harry Kane they have been part of the representative team for years.
