SP MP, Iris Luarasi, has spoken about the possibility of Erion Braçe running as a possible SP candidate in the race for mayor of Tirana.

Invited to the "Lunch Program" in News24, she stated that when there is a process with quality candidates who bring a strong political background with them and their expertise, this makes what happens within a majority more interesting.

However, Luarasi warned of surprises in the coming months.

"It is not a process that should be confused with local elections. It is a process of energizing the party that is done by meeting members, we are not meeting the citizens of the units. Mr. Rama did not meet them as the leader of the SP but as prime minister. In January we had the first increase in pensions and he should receive feedback.

"I think it's good for the SP because the more candidates there are from within, the better the process is. When it's a process with quality candidates who bring a strong political background with them and their expertise, it makes what happens within a majority and in the selection of the candidate more interesting. But we could have a lot of surprises in the next 12-13 months," she said.
