The European Union's Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos, will pay an official visit to Kosovo today, where she is expected to meet with the country's highest institutional leaders.

According to official announcements, Kos will initially be received by the acting president of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 10:00.

"The Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, receives the European Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos," the Presidency's announcement states.

Afterwards, the European Commissioner will also meet with the acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, at 10:45.

"The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, is hosting the European Union Commissioner for Enlargement, Marta Kos," the government statement said.

This visit marks Marta Kos's first official trip to Kosovo since taking office as Commissioner for Enlargement in 2024.

She had planned to visit Kosovo on March 12, but the visit was canceled due to political developments at the time, when President Vjosa Osmani issued a decree dissolving the Kosovo Assembly.
