Albania held its 45th day of citizen protests today, with organizers making it clear that the revolt will not stop, despite the high temperatures or the tourist season. This evening, citizens gathered in front of the Prime Minister's Office, demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama and a change in the political system. After marching through several streets of Tirana, issuing calls against the government and the opposition, the protesters gathered again at the Prime Minister's Office and then dispersed.

The protest was once again dominated by the chants "Rama in prison, Berisha in prison", "Revolution" and "New Albania", while activists, representatives of the diaspora and citizens took to the podium and demanded the continuation of the resistance until the protest's demands were met.

What started as a reaction against the project in Zvërnec has now turned into a nationwide movement against the government and the entire political class. Every day, protesters have marched towards the “Martyrs of the Nation” boulevard, holding speeches, banners, and symbols that have now become part of the identity of this movement.

Even at the rally the day before, the protesters reiterated that they will not retreat. From the podium, it was declared that the resistance will continue throughout the summer, without any interruption, until September, calling on citizens and the diaspora not to abandon the square.

The organizers emphasized that the protest will take place every day, without a break, throughout the summer season, calling this the most important phase of the civic movement. According to them, the goal is for the pressure on the government not to fade, but to increase until September.
