A fire has broken out in a multi-story building in the "Gjevdet Nepravishta" neighborhood, near the Lushnja hospital, causing panic among residents of the area.

The flames were initially detected by residents themselves, who, after seeing the smoke, immediately notified the fire department. Thanks to the rapid intervention of firefighters, the fire was isolated to an apartment on the third floor, preventing it from spreading to other apartments in the building.

The police have also arrived at the scene, and have launched investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.

According to preliminary data, it is suspected that the fire was deliberately set by the owner of the apartment, a 40-year-old man, who then left the scene. Police sources indicate that he may have mental health problems.

Currently, authorities are searching for the 40-year-old man, while work continues to fully document the event and determine the exact causes of the fire.
