British YouTuber Max Fosh has once again attracted attention with one of the most unusual moments in the history of the Sidemen charity matches, performing another “trick” that left the audience speechless. During the match at Wembley Stadium, in front of around 90 fans, Fosh received a yellow card from former Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg, after a tackle on an opponent.
But instead of simply accepting the punishment, he turned the moment into a spectacle: after taking the card from the referee and showing it to the crowd, he lit it on fire, causing strong reactions and cheers in the stadium. In the action that led to the card, Marlon Garcia was advancing in midfield, while George Clarke tried to stop him, before Fosh intervened irregularly.
This is not the first time Fosh has drawn attention with such actions. Two years ago he used a UNO card to "object" to a referee's decision, while last year he cut a yellow card into dozens of pieces, again earning applause from the public.
The reaction on social media was immediate, with many fans calling him a “magician” for his creativity and humour on the pitch. Max Fosh, known as a YouTuber, radio presenter and social media personality, has now become an integral part of the Sidemen’s charity events, which raise millions for various causes every year. One recent event managed to raise over £4.7 million for charities, including BBC Children in Need.
