Former Deputy Commander of the Naval Forces, Artur Meçollari, commented on developments regarding the maritime border issue between Albania and Greece, as well as topics that may have been discussed in the last meeting between the Prime Minister Edi Rama and his Greek counterpart Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
Invited to the show "Oponencje" on News24, Meçollari stressed that Albania cannot allow further losses in territorial issues.
"Albania has lost a lot in the last 100 years. It can no longer afford to lose more. We must take what is ours," he said.
According to him, the negotiation process should focus on the fair determination of the maritime area.
"The parties enter into negotiations for the surface area and we must take what is ours," Meçollari emphasized, underlining the importance of protecting national interests in this process.
