Five people have died in a series of murders recorded on Friday in Michigan, USA. The main suspect, 39-year-old Chad Hickman, was also found dead in his vehicle, after allegedly ending his life with a gunshot.

The incident began shortly before noon, when police were notified of gunshots in an apartment. When they arrived at the scene, officers found three people dead and another in critical condition. The injured man was taken to the hospital, while Hickman had fled. During the operation to find him, police discovered a fourth victim in another apartment. A short time later, the 39-year-old's vehicle was found in a wooded area near a lake. Hickman and another person were found inside, both dead.

According to court records, Hickman was in the process of getting divorced. He had a criminal record and was sentenced to more than a year in prison in 2024 after pleading guilty to two misdemeanors. He was also previously charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and fourth-degree child abuse, all in connection with a 2010 incident. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the full circumstances of the incident and a motive for the killings.
