Lebanon will participate in the ceasefire talks to be held in Washington. According to 'skynews', Lebanese officials will travel to Washington in the coming days. A senior Lebanese official stated 'that Lebanon has said that a ceasefire is a precondition for reaching a broader agreement with Israel'
However, the exact date of the meeting has not yet been confirmed. The announcement comes after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said his country would begin negotiations with Lebanon "as soon as possible."
He had earlier insisted that the US-Iran ceasefire agreed to earlier this week did not apply to Israel's actions in Lebanon.
