TIRANA Analyst Lavdrim Lita on the show "This Week" IN News24 commented on the opposition's national protest.
During the interview, he focused on the violence used, while emphasizing that according to him, the attack on opposition MPs at today's rally was intentional.
"The police have won against the DP. The police are 1 to 0 today. They were caught by surprise and they did not have a vertical line of command. I think they took it very easy today," he said.
He further emphasized that the immediate police intervention in this protest was done with the aim of neutralizing it.
"The police wanted to neutralize the protest from the beginning so that it would not pass to the institutions. They neutralized the group that had Molotov cocktails. They are the two most important figures in the DP after Mr. Berisha. I think their targeting is intentional. I think their targeting is intentional. The message is given that between Mr. Rama and Mr. Berisha there should be no one else who raises their voice," he said.
During the DP protest, MPs Luçiano Boçi, Klevis Balliu, Flamur Noka, and journalist Aulon Kalaja were injured after police used tear gas. Over 22 people were also injured.
