The head of the Democratic Party Parliamentary Group, Gazment Bardhi, has reacted to the statements of Prime Minister Edi Rama, accusing him of being the "main obstacle" to Albania's European integration process.

In a long post, Bardhi states that "there is only one thing stopping European Albania" and according to him, it is the governance of Prime Minister Rama.

He claims that in order to close the negotiations for the Basic Chapter Group, the European Union has imposed 34 conditions on Albania, which according to him are related to issues of corruption, elections and the functioning of institutions. Bardhi says that the EU has expressed concerns about Parliament's decisions regarding immunity and corruption cases, adding that corruption has been described as a "crucial concern" in the integration process.

Full post;
There is only one thing stopping European Albania.

His name is Edi Rama.

In order to close the accession negotiations for the Basic Chapter Group only, the EU imposed 34 severe conditions on Albania. Because Edi Rama defended corruption with a vote in Parliament and provided Belinda Balluku immunity from arrest by SPAK.

In its 34 conditions for Albania, the European Union officially expresses regret for the Parliament's decision in defense of Belinda Balluku and urges the Assembly to implement European standards for immunity.

In language never before used for Albania, the EU calls corruption a "crucial concern," making Albania's negotiating position more difficult.

For the first time in an official public report, the EU identifies the construction sector as a channel for money laundering through "non-financial transactions" and directly links this to corruption.

For the first time in an official negotiating document, the EU identifies patronage networks as a problem for the elections: the system by which the Socialist Party controls the vote through the state administration.

For the first time, the EU is demanding elections fully in line with OSCE/ODIHR standards as an official condition for concluding negotiations. Because Edi Rama's elections have never been like that.

The EU demands “effective and unhindered parliamentary oversight, including investigative committees”; a right that Rama has systematically denied to the opposition.

The EU also demands the implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court, which Rama has ignored, delayed or not implemented at all.

The Fundamentals chapter group opens first and closes last.

But without closing the Edi Rama chapter, Albania cannot close the negotiations.
