Moments of panic were recorded in the resort town of Cabo San Lucas in Mexico, where a vehicle crashed into a group of fans celebrating the Mexican national team's 3-0 victory over the Czech Republic. The incident occurred at around 21:45 p.m. local time, when hundreds of fans wearing the national team's green jerseys had taken to the streets to celebrate the success that secured the team first place in the group and qualification for the round of 32.

According to footage posted online, several people surrounded a black car stuck in traffic, smashing its windows and hood. Moments later, the driver of the vehicle suddenly accelerated and drove into the crowd, hitting several people as they tried to flee. Authorities immediately intervened and arrested the people in the vehicle. The injured were transported to local hospitals, where they are reported to be in stable condition.

The Secretary General of the Los Cabos City Council, Almerto Renteria Santana, announced that investigations to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident are still underway. The Mexican Football Federation also reacted after the event, expressing regret for what happened during the celebrations, solidarity with the victims and their families, and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured. The Federation also requested that the competent authorities investigate the case and determine responsibility for the incident.
