The Tirana Court has declared Fadi Alwan, the 49-year-old Palestinian accused of murdering his daughter, Rayyan Alwai, 22, on an international wanted list. The serious incident occurred in February 2025 in the capital.
The court's decision comes after Lebanese authorities refused to extradite the suspect to Albania. Alwan was arrested in the country on April 23, 2025, but Lebanese justice refused to hand him over to face charges in Tirana.
According to an official letter dated September 18, 2025, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs announced that the extradition request has been rejected by the Lebanese side.
Under these conditions, Albanian authorities have continued the procedures by declaring the 49-year-old an internationally wanted man.
