The new coach of the Albanian national team, Rolando Maran, in a press conference, during his presentation promised that he will do a lot for the Albanian team. During the conference, the new coach emphasized that his dream, as well as that of the Albanians, is to lead Albania to the World Cup.
He emphasized that he knows many Albanian footballers, while adding that his friend, Gianni De Biasi, the former coach of the Rossoneri, has given him a lot of advice.
"I know many players, because I watch football. I have watched Albania's matches, I have reviewed some of them. I have spoken with De Biasi, because besides being a good friend, he is a coach that I appreciate a lot. I know what he has done. He has given me some considerations, that he will represent them. There are conditions and opportunities to succeed, it will not be easy, but there is a possibility. With what you have, we will do more things, that will be more competitive on the card. We must achieve a lot. At the moment, my dream is to take Albania to the World Cup, so not only my dream but also yours. We must be a united group. With a united group and with a little luck, of course this can be achieved.", he said.
Also during his speech, he praised the team, while underlining that there are some specifics that they will have to work on.
"It's the first thing we talked about because if I want this team to be good, I need to live here. And it's good to be here. Before I coach them, I can't make an assessment, but I think it's a team with very good characteristics, but I think the players need to be functional in being in the game and being together. I can't give a specific assessment, but there are some particularities of the team that we can work with. This mosaic can be shaped very well. I believe that winning helps you, that's the way to achieve and move forward," said Mara.
