Victor Wembanyama's spectacle and San Antonio Spurs' great reaction in the fifth game of the series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. After being suspended in the fourth challenge, the French talent returned as the absolute protagonist, scoring 18 points in the first period alone and closing the match with an extraordinary performance: 27 points, 17 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks.

The Spurs dominated most of the game and sealed the victory late in the third quarter, when they built a decisive margin of +29, to win 126-97 and take a 3-2 series lead. Keldon Johnson also provided important support for Wembanyama with 21 points and De'Aaron Fox with 18.

Minnesota tried to get back into the game, recovering an 18-point deficit to tie the game, but in the crucial moments they couldn't keep up with the Spurs' pace. Anthony Edwards' 20 points weren't enough for the visiting team, while Julius Randle and Jaden McDaniels added 17 points each.

Now the series becomes even more intense: the Timberwolves are forced to win the next game to take everything to the seventh and decisive challenge.
