Lawyer Gylsen Zhllima has raised strong accusations against the way the state has managed several controversial issues, stating that such actions damage the economic climate and Albania's image for foreign investors, not the negative reviews left by citizens in businesses that are against the protest demanding the removal of Prime Minister Rama, or do not support him.

Invited to the show "News24 "Weekend" with Megi Latifi, Zhllima stated that the main problem is not related to the comments or reactions of citizens, but to the way the state has intervened in certain cases.

"Where was the state when the 'Prestige Resort' collapsed? The action was carried out with the help of police wearing masks, without authorization and in violation of the law. Shouldn't a prosecutor have come forward and asked why this was happening?", declared Zhllima.

He also brought to attention the case of interventions in the 5 May area, raising concerns that the way citizens are treated could damage investor confidence in the Albanian market.

"Is the way of arresting and dragging citizens a disruption of the real estate market? What message is given to a foreign citizen when he sees that in Albania the police drag people away?", said the lawyer.

Zhllima stated that the state has consistently failed to guarantee proper institutional standards and accused institutions of being influenced by political power.
"The state was built and captured by the power of the Socialist Party and Edi Rama. The institutions that issue reports do not work for the state, but for the power. The cases of 'May 5' and 'Prestige Resort' show a lot," he said.
