Israel acted independently when it struck Iran's oil and gas infrastructure.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said this in a conversation with reporters.
"We acted alone against the gas complex. (US President Donald Trump – ed.) Trump asked us to refrain from further attacks and we are doing that," he said. At the same time, Netanyahu stressed the importance of identifying alternative routes to the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has blocked for American and Israeli ships.
"We need alternative routes to the Strait of Hormuz. We need oil and gas pipelines that go west from the Arabian Peninsula directly to our ports in Israel," the Israeli prime minister noted.
Earlier, Trump said he had warned Netanyahu about the unacceptability of attacking Iranian oil and gas facilities.
