Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that Israel is determined to "complete its mission" against Iran, describing the overthrow of the regime in Tehran as one of its main objectives.
Netanyahu said the Iranian regime has been weakened and is facing serious difficulties.
"The regime is weak, it is fighting for its life, it is faltering," the Israeli prime minister declared.
He also warned Tehran that any new attack on Israel would bring a strong response.
"If Iran makes the mistake of attacking us, it will suffer a blow it cannot even imagine," Netanyahu said.
The statements come at a tense time, amid concerns that Iran could launch an attack on Israel during the Jewish holiday season, which begins next week with Rosh Hashanah.
Netanyahu had made similar statements on Thursday, when he described the overthrow of the Iranian regime as Israel's "central mission."
At the same time, the Israeli prime minister has argued that Israel's military operations since the October 7, 2023 attack have contributed to weakening the threats associated with Iran's nuclear and missile programs.
