The court has ordered the security measure of "prison arrest" for citizen Violand Braçellari, accused of the murder of police officer Enea Mekolli.

During the hearing to determine the security measure, Braçellari is reported to have spoken only about a previous conviction issued by the Korça Court in 2017, related to the cultivation of narcotics, for which he was sentenced to 10 years in prison.

He claimed that he was not involved in the cultivation of cannabis, while he did not provide statements regarding the allegations of the murder of police officer Mekolli and the injury of another officer, Edison Adri.

Investigations are continuing to fully elucidate the incident and its circumstances.
