MP Erion Braçe raised concerns in the Albanian Parliament regarding the price of hydrocarbons. During his speech, Braçe underlined that prices increased also due to the crisis, but nevertheless expressed criticism regarding the market model in the country.
He also had a tough discussion with Berisha, after interventions from the country,
"The market model keeps prices high and because of this market model we have this situation. The net price without taxes continues to remain the highest. No one dares to talk about the market model, or about the tax model that we have. We have excise duty, I have been here, you have brought the turnover tax within the price of hydrocarbons... They had 7 lek, it is our choice that we made 27, I am sorry that the government does not come and say it out loud... We have tried to do justice. Because with these low tariffs you have favored those who are large consumers. I also voted against the yacht work, don't mention it to me 150 times... Come here and voice the interests of traders...", he said.
