With the official appointment of Portuguese Jose Mourinho as coach, Real Madrid are not stopping in the transfer market. "Los Blancos" have today made official the approach of Bernardo Silva, the Portuguese midfielder whom they transferred with zero parameters from Manchester City.

"Real Madrid and Bernardo Silva have reached an agreement for him to become a Real Madrid player for the next two seasons, until June 30, 2028," read the Madrid statement that made the move official.

Bernardo Silva was initially in talks with Italian clubs, but then began negotiations with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona. The Catalans seemed very close to signing him, but Real Madrid's immediate intervention at Mourinho's request caused him to change destination and end up at Real Madrid just when it was thought he would sign with their rivals.
