Today, November 28, in Garana, Kicevo, on National Flag Day, the statue of Skanderbeg was inaugurated, an eternal symbol of freedom, resistance and national pride.

Present during the inauguration was DUI chairman Ali Ahmeti, who said that "this important moment comes precisely on the day when our hearts beat the hardest for the red and black, reminding us of the path of sacrifice that brought us here."

Also during the day, tributes were paid near the monument to the Albanian Mother in Zajaz, a monument that embodies the dedication, sacrifice and unconditional love that has kept the family and the nation alive over the centuries.

"This double tribute, to the hero and to the mother, reminds us that our freedom and identity are the common heritage of the men and women who gave everything for our future," Ahmeti wrote in a post on his official Facebook account.
