Durrës Police Services, in cooperation with the Shijak Police Station and the Operational Unit, have finalized the operation codenamed "Village", arresting a 19-year-old wanted for a serious incident.
As part of this operation, in the village of Pjezë in Shijak, it was possible to locate and detain citizen LC, 19 years old, resident of Shijak.
The 19-year-old was wanted on suspicion that on the evening of July 26, 2026, in neighborhood no. 13 in Durrës, he attacked three people with cutting tools (knives) during a conflict for weak motives. The attack was carried out in collaboration with citizen MH.
For this event, the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Durrës, on August 4, 2026, had imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" in absentia for citizens LC and MH, accused of the criminal offense of "Intentional serious injury", committed in collaboration.
The 19-year-old was captured following information received through operational channels regarding his location in the rural area where he was hiding.
Meanwhile, State Police structures are continuing their work to capture the other accomplice in this incident, citizen MH. The procedural materials were passed on to the Durrës Prosecutor's Office for further investigative actions.
