The Democratic Party has filed a complaint today accusing OSHEE of overbilling. In a media appearance, the spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Agency, Genta Vangjeli, brought up a case from Fushë-Kruja, where the latter is overbilled.

According to the DP, the monthly amounts billed have reached values ranging from 120 to 180 euros per month, bringing the total liability claimed against the citizen to over 3500 euros, an unbearable burden for an Albanian family.

The statement of the spokeswoman for Anticorruption in DP, Genta Vangjeli:

Another disturbing case of abuse comes from Fushë-Kruja, where a resident and family electricity subscriber publicly denounced today the way he is being treated by the Rama government administration. According to the relevant documentation and booklet, the citizen has regularly paid his electricity bills, with monthly bills ranging from 3 thousand to 7 thousand lekë.

However, unexpectedly and inexplicably, the subscriber, Bledi Muça, has started being billed amounts two to three times higher than usual consumption.

Faced with this unjustified overbilling, the citizen refused to pay the bills and complained to the relevant institutions to request verification and correction of the situation.

But instead of considering and clarifying his complaint, the institutions continued with other billings and interest calculations.

As a result, the monthly amounts billed have reached values ranging from 120 to 180 euros per month, bringing the total liability claimed against the citizen to over 3500 euros, an unbearable burden for an Albanian family.

This is another clear example of the arrogance and irresponsibility of the state administration, which instead of protecting citizens, confronts them with injustice and financial pressure.

Albanians cannot continue to be treated in this way by an administration that does not respond to their needs and does not hold them accountable for the abuses that occur every day,

Therefore, on Sunday at 18:00 PM, everyone in the square until the fall of Edi Rama and his government.
