Today, the Democratic Party is organizing the next national protest, which is expected to start from the DP headquarters and continue with a march towards the Prime Minister's Office, in protest against the government and recent political developments in the country.
Before the start of the protest, Democratic Party MP Klevis Balliu, in a statement to News24, has accused the government of being directly engaged in protecting Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku.
"Today the entire government is engaged in protecting Belinda Balluku, because Edi Rama himself is in that file. Albania cannot be held hostage and Albania's integration into Europe cannot be sacrificed just to protect Belinda Balluku," Balliu said.
According to the Democratic MP, the protest aims to convey the message that citizens will not accept, in his opinion, the capture of the state and the hostage-taking of integration processes for personal or political interests.
