Following the statement by David McAllister, chairman of the European Parliament's foreign policy committee, that the EPP will discuss the crisis within the Democratic Party next week, comes the reaction from Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha.

The latter said he is not aware of it, but if it happens, they appreciate it.

"For the first time, I can dictate this. Will they have discussions or not? McAllister is the vice-chairman of the European People's Party. That party has a president. They discuss all issues. Will they discuss Albania or not, we have no official announcement. If they discuss, we have no objection, we appreciate it. We thank you," said Berisha.

Among other things, he said that the People's Party has not made official invitations, while some Democrats will be part of that meeting in the EPP.

"The People's Party has a correct stance. It is not true that this party has sent them... The People's Party has not brought an invitation for its neutrality. But some will go. 4-5 of us are going, Mrs. Vokshi is going from the European People's Woman, Belindi from the People's Youth. Mrs. Harxhi and Mr. Genc Pollo are going from a foundation related to this. Mrs. Tabaku is a member of the parliamentary group of the People's Parliament in the Council of Europe. There is a party there from this group, but it does not constitute an invitation with a vote. These are the truths," Berisha emphasized.
