On the 47th day of the citizen revolt against Edi Rama's government, the first protesters have begun to gather at "Skënderbej" Square before marching towards "Dëshmorët e Kombit" Boulevard. Among the many citizens, an elderly man, a former miner, has issued extremely serious accusations against the entire Albanian political class in a statement on the microphone of News24.

He stated that there are countless reasons to protest, but emphasized that the real cause should aim to destroy the two main political forces in the country, which he described as direct heirs of communism.

In harsh and revolted tones, the elderly man declared that the Albanian political scene has remained hostage to 1990 and that nothing will change unless the two major parties merge.

"I have many reasons to protest. I worked as a miner. But it is useless to protest if the SP and the DP do not merge. They are simply factions of the Party of Labor, created by Ramiz Alia on the orders of Belgrade. Therefore, it is useless if a way is not found to destroy these two parties," the former miner stated firmly.

Further, the pensioner harshly criticized the composition of the Albanian Parliament throughout these decades of pluralism, describing the deputies as servile to party leaders who do not protect the interests of the people.

"For 36 years, uneducated MPs have been occupying seats in parliament. They are a danger, they occupy their seats in vain, they are servile to party leaders and they endanger the people because they do not dare to oppose! Parliament is the highest forum and cannot be treated like this," the old man concluded.
