The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated in a media appearance that it is up to the sovereign to answer after the Socialist Party decided not to authorize the arrest of Belinda Balluku, a request made by SPAK. He said that now the sovereign-citizens must take justice into their own hands.
"There has been no greater critic on this platform than me of justice. But if the executive with criminal records decides not to accept the decisions of justice, it belongs to the sovereign, not justice, to have its say. The entire justice system is a 300-1-strong force. All the other links are in the hands of the executive. Therefore, it is the sovereign who must intervene with democratic means, to enable the exercise of judicial power in Albania. Will justice continue to issue other orders for Rama's arrest, who knows. The solution is in the hands of the citizens, we are dealing with the fate of the citizens, with their dream," he said.
