The SP's initiative for some changes to the Assembly's regulations has caused debates between the opposition and the majority. During the speech of democrat Gazment Bardhi, the latter said that the opposition had not been asked about this issue at all.
He said that attempts are being made to ignore and 'rape' the opposition.
"We have discussed them with some of you! But if you have discussed them, tell me with whom. You have not discussed any changes with the opposition. When you approved the changes 4 months ago, as soon as you sat in this chair, we told you; stop, you are violating the constitution. With determination, you continued to violate the rules and orders of one side. You should have stood up and apologized, that you consciously violated the constitution to ignore and rape the opposition. This would be normal behavior from a president. Instead of coming out and saying 'Taulanti wrote it!'," he said.
Meanwhile, the leader of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, said that he does not ask anyone for permission to take such initiatives, as any MP can propose changes to the rules.
"Any MP can propose changes to the regulations. I am not asking permission from anyone on the left wing of this room, but it is a process announced by us that we will undertake some initiatives. It is necessary that at this stage where the country is in the accession process, we must adapt our parliamentary work, not with an accelerated procedure, but we must talk about simplified procedures," he said.
