A terrifying moment has been recorded at a daycare center in the Saugus neighborhood after a child discovered a rattlesnake coiled inside a play structure. The incident occurred Thursday in Santa Clarita, when the child spotted the reptile inside a playhouse and immediately alerted a teacher. The quick response of staff led to the situation being brought under control without any consequences.

According to local media, staff contacted rattlesnake expert Carrie Quassen, who intervened to safely remove the animal before any children or employees were endangered.

Footage released by Quassen shows the snake coiled near the playground structure, as the expert carefully captures it using specialized reptile handling equipment.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident, and the case has served as a reminder of the importance of vigilance in areas where rattlesnakes are part of their natural habitat. Authorities and experts advise that in such cases, one should not attempt to capture the animal, but rather notify the relevant specialists.
