A serious incident was recorded on Friday evening at Denver International Airport in the US, where a Frontier Airlines plane, which was preparing to depart for Los Angeles, allegedly dragged a person onto the runway.
The incident occurred at around 22:15 local time, as the plane was performing takeoff procedures. According to communications released by the control tower, the pilot reported that one of the engines had caught fire and that smoke had entered the plane, requiring an immediate emergency evacuation of passengers.
For safety reasons, 224 passengers and 7 crew members were evacuated to the runway via emergency slides. Frontier Airlines said it was working with airport authorities and relevant institutions to clarify the full circumstances of the incident, while expressing regret for the event. The Airbus A321 flight was scheduled to arrive in Los Angeles shortly after midnight, but the trip was postponed and rescheduled for Saturday morning.
