The Chairwoman of the Committee on Culture, Ina Zhupa, in a statement to the media, stated that the head of the Committee on Laws, Ulsi Manja, has declared that they will vote against any initiative submitted by the opposition.

According to Zhupa, this is the reason why around 60 initiatives by opposition MPs have been left in the Assembly's drawers, as the majority will not vote on them because, according to her, they have no argument to vote against them.

"Today, the Parliament finally accepted in word and deed from the mouth of Ulsi Manja that the bills that come from opposition MPs are not analyzed whether they bring good to the public interest, whether they are in accordance with the Constitution or not, but only who introduced them is analyzed."

The moment an opposition MP brings it up, they vote against it without allowing debate.

Today, Mr. Manja literally said, "We are not against the initiative, but we will vote against it because it was brought by you and we will bring this initiative ourselves."

With this stance they held today, they showed why about 60 initiatives by opposition MPs are left in the drawers of the Parliament because they have no argument to vote against them and do not want to vote for them, but even when they bring them, they have no argument why Albanian teachers should not benefit from today and receive delayed justice for that category's payment. According to them, the parliament should be an antechamber to the laws that the government brings", declared Zhupa.

The latter emphasized that the draft law she submitted provides for amending the law on higher education, recognizing teachers who have completed their studies before Bologna as equivalent to a high school and master's degree of 60 or 90 credits, which enables them to benefit from the payment of the category

She added that education should have more funding than any other sector.

"No other initiative will be approved, even if it serves the public interest and Albanian citizens."

Today it's about 11,172 teachers, but it's about the education system.

"You will have more motivated teachers who provide better quality education. Education should have more funding than any other sector," said Zhupa.
