The newly appointed coach of the Albanian National Team, Rolando Maran, will publish this week the list of players selected for the friendly matches against Israel and Luxembourg that the Rossoneri will play next week.
The Albanian Football Association has sent invitations to a large number of players, from whom Maran will then select those with whom he will work for these two challenges, where the design of the team with which Albania will be represented in the Nations League will also begin.
One of the names on the list is Kristian Shpendi, a striker who has done well in recent years with Cesena in Serie B, becoming one of the main players of the Italian club. Shpendi has been confirmed as a goalscorer with this team and could be an important alternative for the red and black attack. He has only worn the national team jersey once before, in a friendly against Gibraltar where he won the penalty in the 1-0 victory.
Shpendi is reportedly one of the names on the long list that has received an invitation, and he expects to be announced this week whether he will be on Maran's final list. It will certainly have most of the names that were with the Rossoneri under his predecessor, Silvinjo.
