Democratic Party MP Jorida Tabaku has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements, accusing him of trying to avoid responsibility for economic problems through "self-victimization" and the creation of internal and external enemies.
Tabaku states that there is no “organized political or economic aggression” against Albania, but according to her, citizens have risen up against a government and a system that favors the minority and burdens the majority. She also brought to attention the situation of pensioners, stating that 27% of them are considered poor according to national and international standards. According to the democratic MP, the tourism sector, considered one of the main pillars of the economy, is also endangered by corruption, informality and the lack of a long-term vision.
REACTION
The Prime Minister has no choice but to self-victimize and fabricate internal and external enemies to build an alibi for his failure.
There is no organized political or economic aggression against Albania. There are citizens who have risen up against a government and a system that works for the minority and impoverishes the majority.
Economic failure cannot be hidden behind propaganda. It is on the tables of increasingly poor Albanian families. It is among pensioners living on the poverty line, with 27% of them considered poor by any national or international standard.
Even tourism, one of the main pillars of the economy, is endangered by this unfair system, by corruption, informality, and lack of vision.
This minority system has created a quagmire that is sinking the economy and driving Albanians from their country.
Everything else is old propaganda and a desperate attempt to keep the power structure afloat. It is time for change. It is time to turn a new page for Albania.
