The Polish Football Federation announced the tragic news, causing shock in the world of football in the country and in European football as a whole. The deceased had been a member of the national team's technical staff since July 2025, serving as a direct associate of federal coach Jan Urban.

Maguire had a long career in coaching in Poland, with experience at both club level, including at Legia Warsaw, and in youth teams, where he contributed to the development of players and the formation of the new generation of Polish football.

His loss leaves a huge void in the national team and in the country's football structures, while the atmosphere in the sports environment remains heavy after this tragic development.
