The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, after meeting with the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Lumir Abdixhiku, said that the parties have discussed the criteria and figure of the new president of Kosovo, expressing their willingness to reach an agreement.

Kurti said that the goal is to bring a new president or president to Kosovo, based on the will of the citizens, without the need for new elections.

"We, based on the will of the citizens of Kosovo, to bring a new president or president to the country, who does not need new elections, who must ensure the democratic functioning of state institutions and for this we can and must build trust."

"We reviewed and discussed the criteria for the figure of the new president or president from many angles and on several levels, but in particular regarding values, merits and contribution to society, as observed in certain professions. It is an extremely important decision and a very sensitive process," he said.
