A fire has broken out in a wooded and difficult-to-access area near the Greek-Albanian border, in the Plaisi Filiat area, near the settlement of Kotsikas.
The flames have spread high up the mountain, making it difficult for ground firefighting forces to intervene. According to preliminary information, the settlement is not currently in danger.
Multiple firefighting forces are moving towards the fire area, while the intervention of aerial vehicles is also expected to help extinguish the flames. Teams on the ground are working to bring the fire under control, while the situation continues to be monitored by authorities.
