The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, received the Letters of Credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Albania, H.E. Barış Ceyhun Erciyes.
During the meeting, bilateral and regional cooperation, close partnership in NATO and the enlargement of the European Union were discussed.

The Head of State expressed appreciation for the intensification of relations between the two countries, the dynamic and intensive political dialogue, while emphasizing the importance in this regard of the convening of the third High-Level Cooperation Council within this year.

Albania and Turkey have cooperation in areas such as: security, defense, renewable energy, economy and trade, infrastructure, tourism and environment, and aim to expand them in all areas of importance to both countries. This cooperation has been growing and in the meeting held with the Turkish Ambassador, the President of the Republic emphasized that the concrete results of the relations between the two countries are of great importance for both states and peoples.
