President Bajram Begaj congratulated Kosovo on the occasion of Liberation Day, appreciating the sacrifice of its citizens, the war of the Kosovo Liberation Army, and NATO's support.
In a reaction on social media, the head of state wrote that Kosovo's freedom came thanks to the sacrifice of thousands of men and women, the KLA's struggle, and the determination of strategic allies.
"Happy Liberation Day, Kosovo! Kosovo's freedom came thanks to the sublime sacrifice of thousands of men and women, the heroic struggle of the Kosovo Liberation Army, and the determination of our strategic allies," Begaj writes.
The President expressed special gratitude to NATO, emphasizing its role in one of the most decisive moments in Kosovo's history.
"Thank you to NATO for standing on the side of justice, freedom and human dignity at one of the most crucial moments in our nation's history," the response continues.
Begaj also expressed gratitude to the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army, the martyrs and all those who contributed to the country's freedom.
"Eternal glory to the martyrs of freedom," the President's message concludes.
