The President of the Albanian Football Federation, Armand Duka, hosted today in a meeting Paolo Zampolli, the special envoy of the President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, for Global Partnerships.

Zampolli is in Tirana as part of a visit during which he held meetings with representatives of state institutions, politics and various actors in Albania.

During the meeting with President Duka, the discussion focused on the role that sport, and especially football, can play in sports diplomacy, in strengthening international relations, and in promoting a country's image on the global stage.

President Duka acquainted the special envoy with the development of Albanian football in recent years, the transformation of sports infrastructure, the increase in organizational standards, and the increasingly important representation of Albania in international football competitions and structures.

In this context, the importance of Albania's representation in the governing bodies of European and world football was also discussed. President Armand Duka is one of the Albanian leaders with significant representation in these structures, in his capacity as Vice President of UEFA, as a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, as well as in FIFA, where he is a member of the Member Federations Committee.
