Activist Luçiana Kokaj has reacted harshly to the 104th protest in front of the Prime Minister's Office, addressing MP Erjola Luarasi with criticism for her stance towards protesting women.
“Thank you, Ms. Luarasi, for not representing us, because we, Albanian mothers, are ashamed to be represented by women like you in the Assembly,” said Kokaj. She questioned the MP's stance during the arrests of protesters.
"Where were you when the girls were violently arrested in this square? That Elsa was arrested by the police, men, just for protesting?! Or Arvina and Bora?", the activist said.
Kokaj also mentioned other cases of women arrested during protests.
"Where were you, Mrs. Luarasi, when mother Lena was arrested in Rrjoll or Marjana, a pregnant woman who was protecting her mother? You never spoke!", she declared.
The activist continued by saying that the women who protest do not feel represented by politics, because, according to her, their problems are different from those of the MPs. "You do not represent us, because we do not have the same problems, because you solve a problem with a phone call. Thank you for not representing us," concluded Luçiana Kokaj.
